I graduated from Dicle University Faculty of Medicine in 1976. I started my specialization at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine in 1977, and in 1979 I was sent to Munich, Germany, by the university for research. I finished my specialization in 1981.

In 1984, I worked as an Internal Medicine Specialist at Dicle State Hospital. In 1985, I worked as an Assistant Professor at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Cardiology. While I was an Assistant Professor of Cardiology, I was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Medicine. In 1989, I became Chief Physician at Batman State Hospital and Provincial Health Directorate.

I was elected Physician of the Year in 1957. After 2003, I worked as an internal medicine specialist in various private hospitals and health institutions in Ankara.
