Skin Booster Injections
Aesthetic treatments known as skin boosters: the composition of the product, assessment of the skin, the change expected and possible side effects.
Updated: · General information
Skin Booster Injections: what approach is taken?
Skin booster treatments involve administering substances intended to support the skin’s hydration, elasticity and vital appearance. They are among the aesthetic mesotherapy treatments that help support skin quality. The choice of substance and the treatment plan are determined by the physician.
Areas of assessment and treatment
- Support for skin hydration and elasticity
- Aesthetic mesotherapy treatment
- Individually tailored planning
Look at the product’s composition, not its name
Unlike a preventive vaccine, the term “youth injection” is not the name of a single standard medical product. Different aesthetic formulations may be offered under this name. It should be explained which product is to be used, in which area and for what purpose. The skin complaint, previous procedures and the person’s expectations are assessed together.
How are aftercare and follow-up planned?
Allergies, active skin infection, medication use and previous reactions are all disclosed. Bruising, swelling or other product-related problems may occur. Expected temporary effects are distinguished from symptoms that require medical assessment. Repeating a session should not be accepted automatically before the change and the tolerance have been observed.
What is assessed at the first consultation?
Your medical history, your current symptoms, the medicines you take and your needs in daily life are all discussed. You may share any previous investigations you have. Suitable options are considered together after the physician’s assessment.
Your questions
Patient information
Does this treatment stop ageing?
No. No guarantee can be given of stopping ageing or of permanent rejuvenation. The aesthetic change intended and its limits should be discussed.
Is it the same product as a filler?
A name alone does not indicate the composition. The full name of the product, its properties and the purpose of the treatment should be asked of the physician.
